Erro doesn’t photograph landscapes you look at. He photographs landscapes you step into — monumental color panoramas from Yosemite, Glacier, and Banff to the quiet valleys of Central Pennsylvania and the coasts of Costa Rica, made by waiting patiently for the light that makes a place feel like itself.

His early black-and-white work is held by Moderna Museet, Stockholm, and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and was featured through the U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies program.
